ET-15.094 – JOHNNY CASH - ALTERNATIVELY - VINYL EP
Format: 7” 45 rpm pink transparen vinyl EP
Artist: Johnny Cash

The newest sensation in the country music field, Arkansas-born Johnny Cash has consistently made a healthy profit for the Sun company over the last few years. Here we offer some lesser-known alternative versions of some of his biggest hits for the Memphis record label.

A1. Cry, Cry, Cry
A2. Big River
B1. I Walk The Line
B2. Folsom Prison Blues

ET-15.143 – BILLY RILEY - ALTERNATIVELY - VINYL EP
Format: 7” 45 rpm red transparent vinyl EP

Handsome Billy Riley was born in Arkansas and learned the blues from the black pickers he worked alongside in the Southern cotton patches.
Pacted to Sam Phillips since 1956, his raucous style clicked with the hep set right outta the blocks and here we present alternative versions of some of his best Sun recordings, including the legendary "Flyin' Saucers Rock & Roll", waxed with those Little Green Men, and "Red Hot"?
This EP certainly is!"

A1. Rock With Me Baby
A2. Trouble Bound
B1. Red Hot
B2. Flyin' Saucers Rock 'n' Roll

ET-15.144 – CARL PERKINS - ALTERNATIVELY - VINYL EP
Format: 7” 45 rpm green transparent vinyl EP

An early signing to Sam Phillips' bright yellow label, Tennessee's own Carl Lee Perkins managed to score the triple crown by placing his signature tune, "Blue Suede Shoes", at the top of all three major national charts: Country, R&B and Pop! His releases consistently head the local charts, too, and here we offer different versions of his four most popular rockers backed, of course, by his brothers, Jay and Clayton, and their drummer friend, Fluke.

A1. Gone, Gone, Gone
A2. All Mama's Children
B1. Blue Suede Shoes
B2. Honey Don't

ET-15.145 – GENE SIMMONS - ALTERNATIVELY - VINYL EP
Format: 7” 45 rpm blue transparent vinyl EP

A Mississippi homeboy of Elvis Presley's, Gene Simmons was born in Tupelo and formed his first band with kid brother, Carl. A chance meeting with the Hillbilly Cat at a radio station in 1955 persuaded the Simmons boys to demo for Sun which led to the release of "Drinkin' Wine" c/w "I Done Told You". A fine singer with a cool line in hipster lyrics, Gene Simmons' time in the studio at 706 Union has also resulted in alternative takes of these rockabilly classics which we present on this four-tracker

A1. Crazy Woman
A2. I Done Told You
B1. Drinkin' Wine
B2. Money, Money, Money

ET-15.146 – JERRY LEE LEWIS - ALTERNATIVELY - VINYL EP
Format: 7” 45 rpm orange transparent vinyl EP

The Killer erupted onto the international rock 'n' roll scene in 1957 with a string of now-classic rockers on Sun Records, all hammered along by his pumpin' piano and the guitarwork of Roland-boy. We hear that Louisiana farm boy Jerry Lee Lewis will soon be whooping it up across the globe in a series of international tours, but here we revisit some of his biggest successes in very different takes recorded at the same sessions.

A1. Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On
A2. Breathless
B1. Great Balls of Fire
B2. High School Confidential

ET-15.147 – WARREN SMITH - ALTERNATIVELY - VINYL EP
Format: 7” 45 rpm lilal transparent vinyl EP

Mississippi has been the cradle of a host of great music and home to a legion of fine recording artists. At the top o' the heap is the singer with Clyde Leoppard's Snearly Ranch Boys, Warren Smith, who was recommended to Sam Phillips by the bandleader in 1956 and was gifted the
song "Rock 'n' Roll Ruby" by Johnny Cash - how could he miss! He has now gone on to a Country career with Liberty Records but we offer here four cool and different versions of some of his favourite Sun classics.

A1. Rock 'n' Roll Ruby
A2. So Long, I'm Gone
B1. Uranium Rock
B2. Sweet, Sweet Girl
